FAQs

  • Let’s chat! Fill out my contact form to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call.

We might be a good fit if:

    • You’re open to an approachable, casual style of therapy.

    • You value an integrative approach— you think about mental health and well-being in an expansive way.

    • You want to be challenged to grow—you’re open to reflections about patterns and behaviors.

We’re likely not a good fit if:

    • You need higher levels of care, such as inpatient or intensive outpatient services.

    • You’re looking for a highly directive therapist to give you advice or tell you what to do.

    • You’re looking for a specialist in substance use and/or disordered eating.

    • You’re looking solely for neuropsych testing (e.g. assessment for ADHD/Autism, etc.)

  • I do! I am credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and I can accept BCBS PPO and Blue Choice plans.

I am also registered with Reimbursify to support clients with out-of-network reimbursement. If you are out-of-network (have a health insurance plan other than BCBS), you can download their app to upload your superbills, and they will take care of the rest!

  • If you do not have a BCBS plan, my standard rates are $165 for individuals and $200 for relationships. I offer sliding scale on an as-needed basis.

If you’re not looking for on-going therapy, the rate for specific services such as evaluation and letter-writing for gender-affirming surgery and/or support to create a post-surgery care plan will be discussed collaboratively on a case-by-case basis.

  • Healthcare providers are required by law to give patients who don’t have insurance— or who are not using insurance— an estimate of the bill for services. This helps people anticipate the expenses of services and make informed decisions about their care.

If you are a private pay client, I will send you a Good Faith Estimate before our first session.

  • I am currently licensed in Illinois and offer in-person and virtual sessions.

Virtual sessions will be held through a HIPAA-compliant online video platform—you can log on from a private, confidential space (whatever that looks like for you).

In-person sessions will be held in my office and/or outside if you’re opting for walk-and-talk therapy.

  • If you are currently experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please call a safe person and/or:

I am unable to provide emergency or crisis support to folks who aren’t my clients.

  • I am licensed in Illinois, which means I can only conduct therapy with clients who are physically located in Illinois.

I am exploring licensure in additional states and will update my website accordingly.
